Women of Fort Worth: 7 Entrepreneurs Leading the Way

By Brandi Addison, Fort Worth Magazine, March 31, 200

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we want to continue to recognize some of Fort Worth’s most inspiring women.

Katie Murray

Artist & Art Room Fort Worth

Painting the town, artist Katie Murray is known for her mural work across the city. Commissioned by Macy’s, Wild Acre Brewing and the Fort Worth Zoo, Murray is best known for her Dream on Dreamer mural along Camp Bowie Boulevard, the Follow Your Dreams mural on Magnolia Avenue, and the Don’t Quit Your Daydream mural at 200 Carroll Street. She currently works as the Chief Creative Officer for M2G Ventures and is also co-founder of Art Room Fort Worth, a nonprofit which seeks to connect underserved youth with arts education.

The Miller Twins

M2G Ventures

Twins Jessica Miller and Susan Miller Gruppi anchored M2G Ventures in 2014 and has since revived many of Fort Worth’s aging commercial and industrial developments. One of their most notable projects is the historic O.B. Macaroni pasta plant, at the southwest corner of East Lancaster Street and Interstate 35 West, which they restored for creative office, manufacturing and distribution tenants. The sisters also completely rebranded the Foundry District.
