Evangalist Agency, Now Named ‘General Public,’ Joins PROOF Building to Make It 100% Leased

By Samantha Calimbahin, Fort Worth Inc, October 5, 2021

Anew tenant has filled the last empty space at the Near Southside’s PROOF building.

Branding agency General Public — formerly known as Evangalist — is moving into 901 W. Vickery Blvd., a 1926 building that originally served as home to Adkins-Polk Whole Grocers and, prior to becoming PROOF, Firestone & Robertson Distilling Co. before it moved to Whiskey Ranch. Real estate company M2G Ventures has since transformed the space into a multi-tenant property, with Chris Doggett, Cullen Donohue, and Vic Meyer of Stream Realty Partners managing PROOF’s leasing efforts. General Public joins existing tenants Bowlounge, Witherite Law Group, Trinity REIS, and GSBS Architects — hence making the 40,665-square-foot building 100% leased.

“In our adaptive reuse projects, we are inspired by a redevelopment’s pre-existing use and history and carry those origins throughout the development process. We have a track record of creating places where users want to be, and this fully leased project conjures the brevity, strength, and reflective eye of its 1920s origin into a modernized merit in Fort Worth.”

Moving from its previous office at WeWork in The Shops at Clearfork, General Public will occupy the lone suite on the second floor of PROOF. As Evangalist, the five-year-old company was also responsible for the branding of the PROOF development.

“When working with M2G Ventures to create the brand voice for PROOF a few years ago, they challenged us to create for a target audience of businesses much like our own,” Joey Swindle, co-founder of General Public, said in a statement. “Ultimately, the story of this space had the desired effect on us, and we’re thrilled to be joining the ranks of the brands who beat us to the punch. We believe in the power of story and look forward to being a part of 901 W Vickery’s newest and most exciting chapter.”

General Public is expected to make a formal announcement about its brand relaunch at a later date.
