South Main St. Fort Worth, TX

Square Foot Project

A Splash of Color on South Main

Just south of Downtown in the near Southside, 710 South Main is located in the heart of Fort Worth’s red-hot South Main Village. Originally built in the 1950s, the building underwent an extensive renovation in 2017, leaving only the brick exterior walls. Those walls now feature “Geo Box,” a total-building mural by M2G’s Chief Creative Officer, Katie Murray. The building has become a landmark in itself from the colorful architecture. Fort Worth’s first cidery, Locust Cider, and a cooking-class-meets-dinner-party concept, The Cookery, both call the building home since 2019.

Locust Cider

Locust Cider, founded in 2015 by brothers Jason and Patrick Spears, started in Washington specializing in modern ciders.

Our goal is to make ciders that don’t just make you say “Yum, that’s good”. We want to make you say “Hell yeah, that’s amazing!” We are not beholden to tradition, but we respect it. We love nurturing unique apple varieties to deliver the best traditional dry ciders possible. But we also love getting crazy and using the common Washington eating apple and a vehicle to create flavor combinations that make you say “Hell Yeah!” We’ll try anything, as long as its with REAL ingredients, not flavorings or artificial sweeteners. Our taprooms are the perfect testing grounds for flavor combinations that nobody would dare try out in a can for the first time- like Smoked Blueberry, Dates and Brown Sugar, or Vanilla Bean ciders. We want to open the world of cider for you to explore and try to make ciders across the spectrum.

Salon Atlas

Salon Atlas is a boutique salon specializing in colors, cuts and extensions. Owner Corene Hess started her career in 2007 after graduating high school from Waxahachie TX. She immediately went to work at a salon in Fort Worth where she found an opportunity to be an artist with L’Oréal Professional. This opportunity allowed her to work New York Fashion week, travel across the country to assist hair shows, and trained with celebrity stylists- what she now will refer to as her apprenticeship. After years of shadowing, assisting and learning, she was ready to teach her own classes. Corene opened Salon Atlas in 2021, and has been putting hair on the map ever since.
